Rosalia Emanuele Schultz earned her B.M. and M.M degrees in piano pedagogy with a concentration in early childhood music from Michigan State University. She has been teaching piano, voice, and general music in the Detroit area for nearly 30 years and currently teaches at Cranbrook Schools, Brookside in Bloomfield Hills, MI. In 2016, she was awarded a semester-long educational sabbatical, where she compiled a multi-chapter school songbook and composed/published a set of vocal art songs. In 2019, she was recognized as a SMART Exemplary Educator for her expansive use of SMART Notebook technology in the music classroom.
A lifelong learner, Rosalia has had the privilege of learning under Edwin Gordon, Phyllis Weikart, and countless MLT/Orff practitioners over the years. She is a frequent conference presenter, piano adjudicator, children’s choir director, and vocal clinician. In her spare time, Rosalia enjoys traveling with her family, cooking, crafting, and walking.
