Student Events Now Open

We currently have four wonderful opportunities open for your students. Take a minute, click the links and check out what we have to offer this year!
MMEA is accepting registrations for our 2018 Young Singers Choral Workshops. This year we are hosting three events throughout Michigan, including the Upper Peninsula. Now entering their 8th year, the Young Singers Choral Workshops provide a great opportunity for young singers to work with quality literature and top-notch clinicians in a relaxed, non-auditioned and fun setting.
Applications are open for this year’s MMEA Elementary Honors Choir, to be held on March 2nd and March 16th. We feature TWO separate ensembles—one for grades 3-4 and another for grades 5-6. Both rehearse and perform separately. More information and audition instructions are available at the link.
The MMEA Honors Composition Concert is an outstanding event that provides an opportunity for students to compose and perform original music, and is open to students in grades K-12.  Winners are invited to perform their compositions at the Michigan Music Conference (MMC,) held in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
An excellent learning experience for any instrumental group big or small! Instrumental Clinics are not ranked or rated, there is no sight reading and groups will work with a clinician after their performance. This year we will have 6 dates at 4 sites.
