Hope College invites applications for Full Time, non-tenure track voice (Soprano, Mezzo-soprano, Contralto) teaching position for its highly regarded undergraduate BA, MUED and BMP voice programs to start August 2020. Over the past two decades, 100% of the undergraduate voice majors seeking graduate study were accepted into programs at University of Michigan, Eastman, Curtis, Manhattan School of Music, Ohio State University, Indiana University, University of Northern Iowa, the University of North Texas, et al.

Responsibilities: Primary duties include teaching Applied Voice, English/Italian, German and French Diction, and Musical Theatre Workshop; additional courses as needed. The candidate should have experience teaching classical and musical theatre vocal technique. In addition, piano skills adequate for studio teaching, vocal jazz and contemporary vocal techniques are desirable. Candidate will be expected to develop a high profile in professional organizations, e.g., National Association of Teachers of Singing and Michigan School Vocal Music Teachers Association.


Doctorate or M.M. in Vocal Performance. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in the fields of voice teaching and performance.
