2020 Elementary Honors Choir Acceptance

 

Congratulations!  You have been accepted as a member of the 2020 MMEA Elementary Honors Choir.  We are proud to have you represent your school, your parents, your teachers, and your state.  We hope that the experience is educational and enjoyable for you and your family. Please complete the following steps to finalize your acceptance:

  1. If you had not completed the online acceptance form, or completed it after January 21, 2020 please download and complete the EHC Commitment & Congratulations Letter 2020 and email Lisa DuPrey, Honors Choir Coordinator at lduprey@davisonschools.org for further instructions.
  2. Submit payment of $55.00
  3. Download the Student Release Form. Complete the form and bring it with you to the first rehearsal on March 21st.

The schedule is as follows:

Day 1 Rehearsal: March 21st, 2020 @ Grand Ledge High School (820 Spring St. Grand Ledge, MI 48837)

10 am – noon Rehearse
12-1 pm Break, Lunch
1 -3:15 pm Rehearse
(this schedule may be adjusted slightly closer to the event)

Day 2 Performance: March 28th, 2020 @ Grand Ledge High School (820 Spring St. Grand Ledge, MI 48837)

10 am-noon    Rehearse
Noon-1 pm   Lunch
1-2 pm   Lineup, spot check, Sound Check, break
2:30 pm    Concert/Recording

For the performance, please wear something black on the bottom.  It can be pants or a skirt.  You will receive an Elementary Honors Choir T-Shirt the day of the concert.  There is no assigned dress code for the rehearsal.

It is very important that you come to the first rehearsal familiar with the music and having learned (memorization not required) your assigned voice part.  We have placed students in two equal groups, and learning the wrong part may upset the balance we have attempted to create.
