Recently MMEA member Ashleigh Lore, music teacher at Delta Center Elementary in Grand Ledge, was selected as Michigan region 6 Teacher of the Year. She is the first elementary music teacher to receive this honor, and her presentation to the State Board of Education covered fine arts education in Michigan Public Schools.
